INDI SAVITALA

Indi Savitala joined Acoustic Dimensions in 2009. He joined with two years of consulting experience, and serves as an integral addition to the Acoustics group. In 2006, he completed a Master of Sciences degree in Architectural Sciences with a concentration in Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). His master's thesis topic "Influence of attack transient and decay times of percussive sounds on the echo threshold" focused on the field of musical acoustics and psychoacoustics; involving subjective testing of percussive sounds and the perception of echoes. His research led to a follow-up paper that was presented at the 19th International Congress on Acoustics in Madrid, Spain.

Before attending RPI, Indi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of California at Davis. He specialized in percussion performance, and after college was the percussion section leader of the La Jolla Symphony and Chorus.

Indi is an active member of the Acoustical Society of America, the National Council of Acoustical Consultants, the Audio Engineering Society, and the Percussive Arts Society.
