BEN CATING

Ben Cating is gifted in seeing new and better ways to do things. His blending of computer programming with audio and video expertise has revolutionized the way our company approaches systems design.
Ben is responsible for innovation in the area of projection calculations and predictions. His research on the effects of ambient light, projector output, and optimal screen material and sizing have given new accuracy and precision to the final look of our projection system designs. Ben has also changed our computer-aided drafting by writing visual basic and visual LISP programming to increase efficiency.
Ben understands the needs of large campuses and the architectural, electrical and mechanical accommodations needed to facilitate technology that is rapidly changing. He is highly-experienced in planning the cabling infrastructure needed for complex MATV and video production systems.
An electrical engineering graduate from Louisiana Tech, Ben worked for both an a/v design-build firm and an electrical contracting firm prior to joining Acoustic Dimensions in 2003.
Ben is a consultant in our Dallas office.
