KEN ANDRIA, LEED® AP
___________________________________________________________

Ken Andria joined Acoustic Dimensions shortly after finishing a Master’s in Architectural Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2005. At Acoustic Dimensions, he has worked on a range of projects which include the Midwestern State Performing Arts Center; the University of Northern Iowa, Russell Hall Renovation; National Public Radio New York Studios, and Wheaton Bible Church.

At RPI, he studied the core concepts of room acoustics, noise control, and psychoacoustics through research and measurement. He recorded and analyzed room responses from local churches as well as the renowned Troy Music Hall. His Master’s Thesis, “Variable Geometry Acoustics for Multipurpose Rooms” demonstrated how sound
reflections could be tailored to individual performance types by changing the shape of the ceiling.

Before attending RPI, Ken earned a Bachelor’s of Architecture from Cornell University, with research focusing in furniture design, sustainable building, and CNC manufacturing.

Ken is a recipient of the Acoustical Society of America’s 2006 Robert Bradford Newman Student Medal for Merit in Architectural Acoustics.

Ken is a LEED® certified consultant in our New York office.
