RUSSELL REID

Russell Reid brings design and project engineering experience with an end user’s point of view. His years in theatre in both the academic and community setting provide him with insight and understanding that enhances his design work.

Russ has served as the technical director for arts programs at Clemson University , the University of North Texas and the Self Family Arts Center on Hilton Head Island. He also served as an assistant professor for the theatrical department at the University of North Texas.

Russ joined AD in 2001 where he contributes his years of theatrical experience to lighting and stage rigging design for theatrical and church clients. Representative projects include design assistance for Windsor Crossing, Willow Creek and the Prestonwood West Wing Expansion. He is also a gifted speaker and writer for AD where he shares his staging expertise.

Russ’s practical approach to connecting the use of the space with design results in venues that are not only appreciated by performers and patrons, but by the technical crews, as well.

Russ has a Master of Fine Arts in Design and Technology from Northern Illinois University.

Russ is a consultant in our Dallas office.
