STEVE REED
___________________________________________________________
Steve Reed's gifting is in being able to sort through chaos to find the best path forward. Not only is he able to assess stated needs, he is also able to draw out unspoken ones. Because of Steve's background and experience, his ability to think strategically about planning performance technologies gives his work a strong emphasis on connecting purpose to design.
Before joining AD in 2000, Steve spent fifteen years as Technical Director for two major metropolitan churches. In this position he supervised audio, video and lighting installations and trained and maintained volunteer teams to work with the equipment. He also became proficient in audio and video editing as well as all types of sound and lighting consoles. Along with his church work, Steve also served for six years as the JumboTron Game Day Technical Assistant for the San Antonio Spurs. He continues to do technical work for large venue events in the Dallas area.
Steve's first assignment for AD was as part of the commissioning team to Paul Brown Stadium. After a solid week of 18 hour days in the cold and rain, he still showed up to the office the following week, and has gone on to lead design teams for over 75 projects. Steve is adept at working with teams and his talent for coordination makes him a gifted project manager.
Steve graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Church Music and has partially completed his masters in Mass Communications at Southwestern Theological Seminary. He continues to serve weekends as the front of house engineer for the 7,000-seat worship center at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas.
Steve is a senior consultant in our Dallas office.
