The new Bancolombia headquarters in Medellin, Columbia is an 800,000 sq.-ft. complex serving both an individual and corporate customer base, and is the largest bank in Columbia. It consists of open plan work stations, private offices, conference rooms, as well as larger shared spaces including a fitness center, employee cafeterias and lounge areas.

Acoustic Dimensions worked with the design to ensure an appropriate acoustic environment for employees. This work included designing constructions that allow for adequate levels of speech privacy and distraction control for both open plan and enclosed office spaces; developing recommendations for control of noise due to base building air distribution systems; ensuring vertically and horizontally aligned spaces were built to meet appropriate levels of sound isolation; and controlling reverberant sound energy in the large meeting areas, conference rooms, and other places of assembly.
