The C.V. Starr East Asian Library, part of the Chang-Lin Tien Center for East Asian Studies, provides a new home for an important collection of East Asian printed material and artifacts for UC Berkeley. Over 750,000 volumes and works on paper are part of the collection.

Critical acoustical concerns included maintaining a quiet noise environment with limited introduction of sound absorptive material, and achievement of excellent speech intelligibly in conference and classroom facilities. We also designed quiet air distribution systems without the use of internal duct lining, per UCB standards.
