Since 2002, Acoustic Dimensions has provided design and consulting services for numerous recording, production and post-production facilities at News Corp’s NYC headquarters. The studio projects include Fox News Radio studios, which went from Schematic Design to On-Air in 10 weeks. This studio provides 5-minute news casts to over 360 stations nationwide. Fox News studios include television studios for news and entertainment programming as well as interactive studios to support both reporting breaking news and production for entertainment and news programming.

AD’s scope of work included facilities design and acoustics consulting for a variety of not-so-unique-to-New-York situations ranging from vehicular noise control in street-level TV studios to vibration control for the 6th Avenue subway to base-building mechanical equipment noise.

AD provided architectural acoustics design for the TV and Radio studios and associated technical areas in conjunction with the siting and orientation of the facilities. The use of narrow-band noise and vibration measurements were required to assess airborne and structure-borne sound and vibration readings.
