as East Texas Normal College in 1889. The current Music Building, built in 1956 for 60 Music Majors and 9
Faculty positions, now serves 140 Majors and 17 Faculty. The strategic plan projects 250 Majors and 29 Faculty

new building, which has been carefully paired down to 68,500 sf includes a 530-seat concert hall and an 85-seat
recital hall. Several large rehearsal spaces for both choral and instrumental ensembles are included, along with
many other acoustically critical teaching and practice rooms. In addition to the acoustical consulting for the project, we are providing Audio/Visual Systems Design Services.
We will design sound reinforcement and recording systems, video projection systems, and the associated control
systems for the Concert Hall, Recital Hall and Recording Studios We will also provide AV design services for the
large rehearsal rooms, as well as the teaching spaces (distance learning systems, etc.).
