The Museum of Tolerance is located at the heart of modern Jerusalem, in its rejuvenated city center. The facility will be a multi-faceted educational institution and social laboratory that speaks to the world and confronts today's important issues. The new building calls for a six-story structure, three stories below ground and three above. The structure has approximately 150,000 to 160,000 square feet of space consisting of exhibition spaces, an education center, a theater, a multipurpose hall, offices, a restaurant, a gift shop, and an outdoor garden/amphitheater.
It will house two experiential museums, one for adults and one for children, a state-of-the-art International Conference Center, Grand Hall, Education Center offering training programs and seminars given by outstanding teachers, rabbis and experts, and a Theater for the Performing Arts hosting important films and concerts.
