Athletics are a passion for Ole Miss and the University has a strong commitment to continuously improving the fan and player experience. Acoustic Dimensions was invited to assess the sound at the Vaught-Hemingway Football Stadium and make recommendations for upgrades.
We designed a loudspeaker array that would be dedicated to the south lower bowl seating areas and re-aimed the existing two main arrays so that less energy is reflected off of the south stands. This improved the intelligibility throughout the stadium by allowing for fewer reflections.
Acoustic Dimensions utilized 3-D computer modeling for proof of concept, developed the bid documentation, assisted the University with selecting an installer and tuned the system once the upgrades were installed.
