Stage SystemsGrayson County College renovated an existing 1,000 seat, single-level theatre that wasn't meeting their programmatic needs into a complex that would fully support their Arts & Communications school. The renovation of Cruce Stark Auditorium transformed the current stage into back of house, raised the roof and created a new stage in front of the old. In addition, a flyloft was added to support theatrical productions.
A 150-seat black box theatre was also included in the project, located near the existing theatre to allow dual usage of back of house spaces. Other spaces in the project included a choir rehearsal space, piano lab, band rehearsal hall, and multiple practice rooms.
