The Minnesota Shubert Performing Arts and Education Center will be a new high profile performing arts center. The new design for the relocated theatre, which was moved from a previous location via rollers to its new home on Hennepin Avenue, will include an atrium that will link Minnesota Shubert Center’s two historic buildings – Hennepin Center for the Arts and the Shubert Theatre.
The theatre will be home to more than 15 local, non-profit arts organizations including the Minnesota Dance Theatre, Zenon Dance Company and James Sewell Ballet. Mainly dance programs will be featured and music programming will be included, but not emphasized.
