An iconic part of the Houston skyline, Minute Maid Park is the home of the Houston Astros. The downtown ballpark has a lot of innovation to live up to considering that the club’s first home was the Astrodome. Minute Maid Park’s retractable roof technology brought open-air baseball to Houston for the first time in 35 years, and the natural grass surface and classic architecture give Minute Maid Park the feel of the great ballparks of baseball’s Golden age.

Acoustic Dimensions is working with the Houston Astros to upgrade their video displays and control systems to high definition and add new displays to improve the quality of the game day experience for fans seated in right field. The video control room will also be renovated to enhance sightlines to the field, optimize work flow, improve acoustics and create a more ergonomic and efficient work environment for the production team.

Additionally, the broad disparity in the range and type of displays in the park will be evaluated to ease difficulties in maintenance, operation and creation of content, as well as improve the fan experience by simplifying what is needed to produce the game day show and present a more cohesive visual experience to patrons both inside the ballpark and in front of their televisions.
