Construction Type: Renovation
Opening: 2008 Season
Construction Cost : $7 Million
AD Scope: Scoring & Timing Systems,
LED Display, Video Production, Editing Suites
The construction of the $354 million Chase Field was completed just before the Diamondbacks first season in 1998. The first MLB ballpark to feature natural grass in a retractable roof stadium, it also features a swimming pool located in right center field, which can be rented to patrons, and a Picnic Pavilion behind the centerfield wall with picnic tables on tiers to allow 600 fans a full view of the action while enjoying a picnic or family gathering. Because Chase Field is a baseball-only facility, it’s sightlines are the best in the league with more than 85 percent of the seats located between the foul poles and there is no upper deck around the outfield.
AD has been contracted to provide consulting services for the renovation of the primary center field video display/ scoreboard system, the video control room and edit suites to include all new production, scoring and statistics systems.
