AD Scope: LED Displays
The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority contacted AD to develop the technical specifications and bid documents required to install new large screen video displays at Giants Stadium, Continental Arena and the Meadowlands Racetrack.
At Giants Stadium, the existing video displays and matrix boards were replaced in both of the end zones with new large video displays.
We added advanced digital video effects, new cameras, Digital Betacam VTR’s and advanced character generation capable of direct serial input from NFL scoring and statistics systems at the stadium. As part of this scope, we reviewed the existing electrical, mechanical and architectural systems that facilitate the existing large video displays and made recommendations on how to best integrate the upgrades. We then completed the technical specifications for each system which were issued to bidders as part of the RFP process.
