Star Trek: The Experience is a $70 million collaboration between Paramount Parks and the Las Vegas Hilton designed to transport visitors to a 24th century futuristic adventure. Star Trek: The Experience is quite literally that—the experience. The actors which portray 24th century Humans, Trills, Bajorans, Klingons and Romulans draw visitors into encounters which are truly believable. Visitors are not simply tourists on a 20th century version of a holodeck; they are on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise.
This project includes a variety of entertainment elements including a motion simulator voyage, retail shops and a themed restaurant and lounge.
Room acoustics, sound isolation and noise control were a large part of the scope of services. AD also provided speaker systems for the two domes housing the rides and all pre-show areas. A high-energy speaker system was designed to accommodate the soundtrack, actor interaction and multiple explosions which are an integral part of the experience.
