Texas Christian University added a new Sports/Educational Wing next to Amon Carter Stadium that includes a sports club, 6 new luxury suites and seating deck with 250 club seats, a private club level with access from Daniel Meyer Coliseum, a 125-seat lecture hall and classrooms for student athletes, a player’s club, and a large team meeting room. The project added an additional 28,500 square feet to the athletic complex and renovate 6,400 square feet of existing space to TCU’s football stadium. The new facility fits within an area bordered by the existing Amon Carter Stadium, Daniel-Meyer Coliseum and John Justin Athletic Center.
The renovation of the stadium required some changes to the main PA system along with provision of audio to the new suites and club seating. The new construction includes the addition of a club and athletic/academic spaces (team meeting room, computer training room and team living room). Acoustic Dimensions provided design of the AV systems, distributed audio and video systems, and acoustics consulting throughout the facility. The new team meeting room provides broadcast cabling accommodations for press interviews in addition to its high end video presentation system. Acoustic Dimensions also provided design of the video surveillance and access control systems.
