The Vines Center is a 9,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Lynchburg, Virginia. It was built in 1990 and is home to the Liberty University Flames basketball team.
The University contacted AD for a major renovation of the existing arena audio system including acoustic treatment and new speaker system design to better support concerts, convocations, and sporting events within the space. The arena has an aluminum dome ceiling which was not designed to handle high loads or strong fly points. AD designed a system that would work within the existing structural constraints.
"They not only solved our problems," said Michael Gerringer, Director of Audio, "they went far beyond our expectations. The success of the project wasn't simply judged by technicians, but from the thousands of attendees who've raved about the improvement."
