Highland Park is integral to the community of Southfield, Michigan. Acoustic Dimensions worked with the church to explore possibilities for updating their aging sanctuary to better serve the ministry for the future.

The holistic approach explored acoustic improvements, seating and sightlines, integration of technology and interior updates.

A focal point was created for the front of house by lighting the existing organ pipes with a color wash and front lighting a screen that conceals the baptistery. The screen is retractable for when the baptistery is in use. Video projection was integrated into the front of house and ceiling and wall elements coordinated to visually update the space while improving the acoustic environment.

Visualizations were produced to assist the church in communicating the concepts to the congregation.
