Denton Bible has two styles of services. Morning services are a blend of traditional and contemporary worship. Because Denton is a college town--home to the University of North Texas--evening services are designed to connect with students.
The primary design goal of the project was cost-efficient construction. Because there are no balconies, there is a steeply raked floor to improve sightlines.
The audio system in the main room is an exploded mono configuration and the control booth is located on the main floor to share the same acoustic space as worshippers.
Video and lighting systems for the main room were designed to be upgradable as funds become available.
Weddings, funerals and baptisms were the primary design goals for the chapel.
The traditional finishes and lively acoustics in the space drove the audio design. Line arrays were specified for tight pattern control to keep sound energy off of reflective walls.
