Harvest Bible Chapel began in a small conference room in September 1988 when eighteen men and women came
together to form a different kind of church. Harvest Bible Chapel has now grown into a healthy, functioning Christian
fellowship of over 17,000 individuals. The church’s new 2,200-seat worship center is designed to expand to 5,000-
seats and will serve as a secondary campus with sermons being preached live or simulcast from their main campus at Rolling Meadows. This campus at Elgin was converted from a vacant office building with 280,000 sq. ft. of space on eighty acres of woodland. Harvest Bible relies heavily on preaching using video, and a praise and worship team to lead congregational worship and produce bi-annual large scale presentations, small drama vignettes and, once-a-year, hosts music concert.
Acoustic Dimensions developed designs for the auditorium concept with information regarding basic seating layout,
sightlines, layout and sizing of stage areas, a video projection room, audio, video and lighting control booth spaces
and backstage planning that includes rehearsal and production spaces. We provided guidelines for room acoustics
finishes, sound isolation and noise and vibration control of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems.
Additionally, AD provided design of audio systems, video projection and production systems for television broadcast
and, and theatrical lighting.
