DBU, has fulfilled a 45 year-old dream of adding a chapel to their campus that accommodates the student chapel services and hosts major campus events such as lectures, musical performances and weddings. The colonial-style chapel’s steeple is the tallest point on University Hill and redefines the landscape of DBU’s campus.
The Patty and Bo Pilgrim Chapel has a pipe organ and the acoustics of the room support orchestral music and congregational singing. Speech intelligibility is achieved via a center line array. There is accent lighting throughout to create warmth within the space and to highlight the stained glass window which provides the focal point of the room.
