River Pointe Church
River Pointe Community Church has grown rapidly in the last 10 years - from 10 people in 1996 to 2,700 members. The Fort Bend County area is also growing, with 25,000 new residents in 2006 and estimations that by 2010 the county’s population will reach 1,000,000. River Point Church is readying itself to become the home of thousands of new families in the decade to come by building a new campus on a 93 acre site.
Phase I of the masterplan includes an interim worship center, youth worship center and administrative offices. Worship at River Pointe required that the sanctuary be symmetrical with low ambient noise level in the room to support the high quality level of all of the communication tools that are used, including preaching, music and dramatic presentations. Production flexibility was essential in the space to facilitate the broad range of presentation styles that are used in the various services.
Acoustic Dimensions’ current work for the church includes design of the HD IMAG video system that will facilitate connection for the future audio systems, theatrical lighting, camera planning and basic stage rigging planning. Additionally, AD provided acoustics consulting for the youth space and offices.
