In the effort to support and meet the needs of their vibrant and growing parish, St. John Fisher decided to embark on a major renovation and new construction campaign. The existing sanctuary will be remodeled into a Parish Activity Center. St. John Fisher will be adding a new 900 seat auditorium, an administration building, new school facilities and support areas for the arts, as well as, computer and science labs, a new library and gymnasium.
Acoustic Dimensions assisted with room acoustics and sound isolation for this dynamic church, that was not only concerned about the clarity of the spoken word, but also wanted to be sure the acoustics work well for live music. Music ministry is a major part of the parish, with 5 choirs and over 200 people involved. They hired pipe organ consultant Manuel Rosales to assist with their organ design. They not only use the organ and piano each Sunday but also include a variety of wind and percussion instruments. The project acoustics are balanced between support for the pipe organ and vocal intelligibility, resulting in a facility that can be enjoyed by all.
